Email marketing is done to increase the traffic on a website as well as the conversion rates. If an email marketing campaign has low Click-Through-Rate, then it can never bring the desired results. Now the question comes:
What is click-through rate (CTR)?
It is a technique using which the marketers analyze the effectiveness of an email campaign. The CTR is said to be 10%, if out of the 10 emails opened, one is clicked through the website. Therefore, it is very important to increase the Click-Through-Rate to boost email marketing. Here are a few tips to increase the CTR:

In order to boost the CTR, the email list plays a very important role. It is recommended not to buy the list from third-party sources. This is because, the list from the third party may not contain the target audience and will eventually increase the bounce rate of the campaign.
While emailing, select the subscribers who have granted permission to be emailed. After doing this, you will notice an effective CTR. Also, make sure that the list is updated on a regular basis.
2. Relevant subject line / headline to increase engagement

Is the subject line
  • Answering the question, what's in it for me
  • Offering value to the prospects
  • Includes a CTA (Call-To-Action) button

Ask these questions before writing an email marketing campaign:
  • What will be the action taken by the reader after reading the campaign?
  • What is the goal of the campaign?
  • Who is the target audience?

After having all these questions in mind, you will have a clear idea about the CTA’s that should be used for the user to take an action. the CTA’s can be:

  • Buy now
  • Download the whitepaper
  • Contact Us
